The Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, the public policy
research arm of the State University of New York, was established in
1982 to bring the resources of the 64-campus SUNY system to bear on
public policy issues. The Institute is active nationally in research
and special projects on the role of state governments in American federalism
and the management and finances of both state and local governments
in major areas of domestic public affairs.
