The Committee for Economic Development (CED) is an independent, nonpartisan
organization of business and education leaders dedicated to policy research
on the major economic and social issues of our time and the implementation
of its recommendations by the public and private sectors. CED has supported
research and implementation of long-term improvements to government
for more than 60 years. CED's 1999 landmark report Investing in the
People's Business: A Business Report for Campaign Finance Reform, has
played an important role in the effort to reform the campaign finance
system in this country.
